The WHFTA British Open is back!
...And we are delighted to announce that Optics Warehouse is sponsoring this fantastic event!

[Words: Kieran Turner, Team WHFTA Organiser]
Typically WHFTA hosts the HFT World Championships every year but due to the Covid 19 pandemic and the problematic and uncertain event and travel arrangements, the WHFTA organisation was left with a very difficult decision; cancel the event for another year or make something happen!
So obviously not to be undeterred, we decided to make something happen! This gave rise to the WHFTA 2021 British Open.

Zero Stop - What does it all mean?
We've put together a short, easy-to-understand blog entry to leave you with an understanding of what Zero Stop is and what it does.
...
- What Is Zero Stop?
When a shooter Zero's their Rifle Scope at any given distance, the user will reset their turrets so their turret is on 0 clicks at their zeroed distance. Zero Stop is a function on a Rifle Scope turret that allows the user to set a stop at their pre-set zeroed distance to ensure they cannot go below this length. Some Optics do have Zero Stops that allow the turret to go a few clicks under their pre-set zero but in 90% of cases, Zero Stop will stop the turret dead when installed.

Glen Padgham - February 19, 2021I’ve been following with interest lots of posts about using the 22lr as a practice round for Precision Rifle Shooting. It seems there are several platforms gaining popularity so I thought I should put some effort into adding to that list. The Tikka T1X seemed the obvious choice as my Competition Chassis System, which is currently based around the Tikka T3 action will accept this barrelled action without modification. So a T1X was purchased and a comparison test day at the range was organised.

The latest lockdown has been devastating for shooting and with the latest restrictions where I live requiring you to go no more than 5 miles beyond your council area and only exercise outdoors with one other person, it has put a very early end to my winter game shooting.
Thankfully I live in a massive council area which is the gateway to the Scottish Highlands where I go Stalking. With foreign clients prevented from coming and Deer needing to be culled, this has left some very welcome and cheap opportunities for me in place of my other Shooting.

Wow! What we would give to be able to visit the States this year and partake in one of the Vortex Edge Training days.
Following their success during 2020, Vortex has stepped-up, going bigger and better than before, offering a one-of-a-kind Shooting experience.

The X503 is a very stable scope in temperature and very snappy on the parallax, providing quick and precise range finding capabilities.
With all these points in mind, this would be my scope of choice if I was not using my Delta Styker 5-50x56. -

Ever since the Pulsar Thermion range has been out there has always been debate as to which is going to sell the best within the market, hence the introduction of various new sensor sizes that we have never seen before, and the large range of options available throughout.

An Honest Review: HIK Vision Vulkan 15mm 35mK Smart Thermal Monocular (by Digby Taylor)
[All words and imagery are copyrighted to Digby Taylor of Guns On Pegs: https://shoothub.gunsonpegs.com/]
Being what some might call a traditionalist, and certainly a ‘hobbyist’ when it comes to stalking, the idea of utilising a Thermal Spotter for a weekend’s Stalking in the Highlands had never really crossed my mind. With the usual price of a half-decent bit of kit being north of £1,500, I didn’t have many plans to change that.
With my other hat on however as the Shoot Account Manager at GunsOnPegs - dealing mainly with estate owners and keepers - when offered the opportunity to review the
