A HIKMICRO Thermal Monocular was recently featured on BBC Winterwatch to aid in the ringing work of Jack Snipes in the UK.
Colin McShane of Bell Vide Ringers had the below to say about the HIKMICRO Thermal Monocular;
"When we first arrived at this site 6 years ago, we knew there were birds here but we didn't really know how many because we couldn't see them. However, shortly after that, we became aware of these machines [HIKMICRO Thermal Monocular]."
"Most of the time thermal imagers are used by bird watchers at night (but) it can be used during the day time."
"This Thermal imaging camera is turning on its head what we thought we knew about the population of this bird."
