It is well made, and for the money, I've been very impressed with it. Quick and easy to get zeroed too. the illuminated reticle isn't bad, though I'm old school, and when I was shooting over 20 years ago, I don't think an illuminated reticle was a thing! Anyway, this scope is great value, compact, and well made.
A battery was also included by Optics Warehouse, who have provided a fast and convenient service. Very happy with my purchase, and service received.
But… if you want to shoot tiny groups with 177 then hell nah, the Ret is just to thick, the size of the scope is great, weight is brilliant, glass is ok, front AO is smooth and easy to turn. iR is next to unusable on full setting but hey.. you get what ya pay for, it’s not to bad, can be used in low settings.
If they scrapped the IR and made this with a more usable thinner reticule’ then yes mate! what a scope! It just falls on a few hurdles but all in all it’s cheap as chips, does what it says on the tin and for 60 quid can’t really grumble
But I wanted a very compact scope without a PIA short eye relief… I have a small AirMax compact but don’t use it due to the ultra-fussy eye relief …
Recently bought an FX Dreamtac and wanted a truly tiny scope to keep weight down and be able to connect pard 007 at night for close range rats in cattle barns…
I bought this scope thinking I’d probably send it back because it had to be rubbish at this price
TOTALLY wrong!! This is a superb little scope… quite weighty but that’s reassuring… all alloy, decent mildot reticle… not too thin to be of no use in a dingy barn…illuminated BUT NO BATTERY INCLUDED
clear view, generally a very nice scope for the money
It comes with a nice shade if thats your thing, but defeats the object of small scope. May be handy in rain..?
The included picatinny mounts are the only negative… they are the typical Far Eastern tat… with dreaded tape inserts!!!
I won’t be using those so bought some Burris 1” high rings to compliment a very nice little optic.
The features, build quality and layout give the impression of a much more expensive item and way beyond anything else that I've ever experienced at this price point.
Mounting and zeroing were straightforward, especially as the scope appeared to have been perfectly centered at the factory prior to despatch.
When in use the scope performers faultlessly shot after shot and given that it is springer rated, it should give many years of service if correctly maintained.
On the subject of a warranty, the scope has a manufacturer backed guarantee of 5, yes 5 years, so Vector are clearly confident in the build and durability of their product.
I have the scope mounted on a fully restored early Mk 3 BSA Meteor that I use for garden plinking and in my opinion, this is an ideal scope for this sort of activity and indicated rifle type.
The inclusion of flip up rubberised lens caps, standard Vector mounts and a complementary screw-in sunshade, all add extra value to an already great value scope, but the inclusion of the additional quality medium Wulf mounts, means you're almost getting the scope itself for free!!!!
If interested, grab one while you can because at this price, they probably won't be available for long.
Build quality is very good for the price point and the features such locking turrets give it the appearance of a much more expensive scop
Will buy here again.
My main criteria was light weight as this is going on an Brocock Contour, making the full set up just 2.4Kg with moderator, scope and mounts.
The eye box is good for such a small scope, image is
nice and crisp and etched recital is great for air rifles.
Only down side is the illuminated part. Personally wish this wasn't included. Turning it on, even in bight daylight, lights up the whole scopes interior, making it useless in the day and blinding at night.
Would have been better if the IR was removed and the weight saved.
