Discovery Optics Rifle Scopes and accessories are built in China, with established excellent levels of quality control in production and testing.
The factory in China started producing optical instruments in 2009 to the domestic market, mainly engaged in the design and development of optical instruments – Telescopes, Range Finders, Sights and Mobile Phone Cameras.
Available throughout Europe, America, South Korea, Malaysia and other countries, Discovery Optics has gained widespread praise throughout.
Most recently, and to comply with company name legislation in the United States, Discovery Optics have changed their company name to 'DiscoveryOpt'.

Shaun Ellis - September 21, 2021
We've shared our thoughts on which Scope to go for out of the IOR Terminator and the Delta Stryker when shooting 25-100yds Benchrest.
[WORDS: Shaun Ellis, OPW Director]
...
RETICLES
The IOR's MOA SHX-1 reticle, in comparison to both the DLS-2 and DLS-3 reticles of the Delta Stryker, is heavier (not fine) and is designed for use on weighty backgrounds, rather than paper.
There is however no reason why it would not work but with the SHX-1 reticle, there is more going on when compared to the two reticles on the Delta.
One great benefit of the IOR's reticle, albeit not necessarily required for Benchrest, is the fact that it subtends correctly at 1/2 MRAD, MOA and 1/2 MOA when at different

Zero Stop - What does it all mean?
We've put together a short, easy-to-understand blog entry to leave you with an understanding of what Zero Stop is and what it does.
...
- What Is Zero Stop?
When a shooter Zero's their Rifle Scope at any given distance, the user will reset their turrets so their turret is on 0 clicks at their zeroed distance. Zero Stop is a function on a Rifle Scope turret that allows the user to set a stop at their pre-set zeroed distance to ensure they cannot go below this length. Some Optics do have Zero Stops that allow the turret to go a few clicks under their pre-set zero but in 90% of cases, Zero Stop will stop the turret dead when installed.

Glen Padgham - February 19, 2021I’ve been following with interest lots of posts about using the 22lr as a practice round for Precision Rifle Shooting. It seems there are several platforms gaining popularity so I thought I should put some effort into adding to that list. The Tikka T1X seemed the obvious choice as my Competition Chassis System, which is currently based around the Tikka T3 action will accept this barrelled action without modification. So a T1X was purchased and a comparison test day at the range was organised.

The latest lockdown has been devastating for shooting and with the latest restrictions where I live requiring you to go no more than 5 miles beyond your council area and only exercise outdoors with one other person, it has put a very early end to my winter game shooting.
Thankfully I live in a massive council area which is the gateway to the Scottish Highlands where I go Stalking. With foreign clients prevented from coming and Deer needing to be culled, this has left some very welcome and cheap opportunities for me in place of my other Shooting.
